On French door models with a fresh-food ice maker, the dispenser line runs through a door that sits close to cold air. A failing door heater, a poor door seal or a freezer set colder than needed can freeze the line. We test the heater circuit, check the seals and settings, and thaw the line properly.

Slow preheat usually comes from a weak or failed hidden bake element, a convection element or fan not running, or a temperature sensor reading wrong. Because the bake element sits under the floor panel, you cannot see it fail. We measure element and sensor resistance and check the fan before quoting.

Yes. Downdraft models add a vent that rises behind the burners and a blower in the cabinet below. Common faults are a vent that will not raise, a blower that stops and grease buildup in the filter and duct. The burner side gets the same igniter, element and switch testing as any other KitchenAid cooktop.

Usually, if the rest of the range is healthy. Warming drawers fail at the element, the control or the drawer slides, and those parts are modest compared with the range itself. We test the drawer circuit during the visit and quote it on its own so you can decide separately from any oven repair.

It may be working at its limit. Undercounter wine cellars breathe through a front grille, and if that grille is blocked or the room gets warm, they struggle. We check airflow, fans, sensors and gaskets. If the unit is healthy, we will tell you, and suggest how to help it through hot months.

No. TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company with no affiliation to KitchenAid. If your KitchenAid is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact KitchenAid first, because work by an independent shop may not be covered by that warranty. Once it is out of warranty, or if the warranty route does not work for you, we are glad to take a look.

KitchenAid · Las Vegas Valley

Servicing KitchenAid in the Las Vegas Valley

KitchenAid started as a stand mixer brand and today sits in the upper-mainstream tier of Whirlpool Corporation's lineup, a step above Whirlpool and below the dedicated luxury makers. Around the valley it is the brand people choose when they remodel a builder kitchen in Mountain's Edge or Henderson, often replacing every appliance at once with a matched stainless or black stainless set.

KitchenAid appliance repair draws on Whirlpool engineering with more features layered on: third-rack dishwashers, true convection wall ovens, commercial-style dual-fuel ranges and fresh-food ice makers. Those extras are where most of our work concentrates, because each feature adds parts, sensors and airflow paths that a basic appliance does not have. KitchenAid does not sell laundry, so this page covers kitchen products only.

Where KitchenAid design creates its typical faults

On many KitchenAid French door refrigerators the ice maker lives in the fresh-food section, fed by its own small duct of freezer air. That compartment is warmer than a freezer, so when a seal, fan or heater falters, ice jams and dispenser lines freeze. Diagnosis focuses on that airflow, not just the ice maker module.

KitchenAid wall ovens hide the bake element under the oven floor, which makes a failure easy to miss. Slow preheat or bottoms that will not brown can point to that element, the sensor or a control relay, and each is tested before we quote.

KitchenAid products, appliance by appliance

Refrigerators and freezers: French door, built-in side-by-side and column units, plus bottom freezer drawers that frost when they do not close fully. Dishwashers: quiet models with a third rack and a two-part manual filter that drives many poor-cleaning calls. Wine cellars: 24-inch undercounter units, often dual zone.

Cooking: single, double and combination wall ovens, slide-in and commercial-style ranges, gas burners with high-output and simmer positions, gas, radiant, induction and downdraft cooktops, and over-the-range or built-in microwaves, including convection models.

Owner checks for a KitchenAid kitchen

If a dishwasher leaves grit, twist out the two-part filter under the lower spray arm and rinse both pieces under the tap. If a freezer drawer is frosting, check that the basket is not overloaded and the drawer slides fully closed without bouncing back.

For a gas burner that clicks after you wipe the cooktop, let it dry completely and try again before calling. Moisture in the igniter or switch causes most of those calls. If the clicking continues once the cooktop is dry, a switch or spark module may need testing.

Thinking through repair on a KitchenAid suite

Because KitchenAid kitchens are usually bought as a matched set, replacing one piece can leave it mismatched in finish, handle style or cutout. That pushes the math toward repair in most cases, including larger jobs like a control board or a convection fan.

The exception is a refrigerator with a sealed-system failure late in its life. We explain the cost and the condition of the rest of the unit so you can decide with real numbers.
