Yes. The lower tier of a dual-stacked burner runs a very small flame, so any misalignment, moisture or port blockage shows there first. A cap slightly off center is the most common cause. If the burner is clean and seated correctly, we check the igniter, gas pressure and valve adjustment.
Touchscreen controls can lock up from a software glitch, a power interruption or heat reaching the electronics because a cooling fan has failed. A breaker reset sometimes clears it. If not, we test the cooling fan, wiring and control before recommending any board replacement.
It can be, but more often it is the igniter or the burner itself. Infrared charbroilers use a ceramic or mesh burner that needs good ignition and clean ports. Grease buildup and debris can block it. Cleaning the burner face, testing igniter output and reading gas pressure at the manifold usually pins it down.
The oven runs on electricity, so a tripped 240-volt breaker, a failed hidden bake element, a sensor or a control fault can leave it cold while the burners work. We check supply voltage first, then the element, sensor and control, and quote the specific repair.
Yes. Steam ovens heat water, and hard valley water leaves scale in the system. Skipped descaling leads to weak steam, error codes and sometimes pump or sensor failures. Following the descaling prompts helps. If faults continue after descaling, we test the water system and controls.
No. TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company with no affiliation to Wolf. If your Wolf is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Wolf first, because work by an independent shop may not be covered by that warranty. Once it is out of warranty, or if the warranty route does not work for you, we are glad to take a look.
Servicing Wolf in the Las Vegas Valley
Wolf is the cooking side of the Sub-Zero Group, building ranges, rangetops, cooktops and wall ovens for planned kitchens. Its pro-style ranges are easy to spot by their red knobs. In valley custom homes, Wolf typically sits beside Sub-Zero refrigeration, installed as the centerpiece of a kitchen that was designed around it.
Wolf appliance repair focuses on cooking only, because that is all Wolf makes. The gas burner design is unusual, the ovens use dual convection and sophisticated controls, and many ranges carry specialty sections. Each of those features fails in its own way, so diagnosis starts with exactly which section and which burner tier is misbehaving.
The dual-stacked burner and other Wolf specifics
Wolf's dual-stacked sealed burner has an upper tier for high heat and a lower tier that holds a tiny simmer flame. A burner that cannot keep a low simmer or goes out on its lowest setting is a characteristic Wolf complaint. Misaligned caps, moisture after cleaning, clogged ports and failing igniters are the usual causes.
Dual-fuel Wolf ranges pair the gas top with an electric convection oven that has a hidden bake element and needs a proper 240-volt supply. Infrared charbroilers, griddles and French tops each have their own burners, thermostats and igniters.
Wolf cooking equipment we repair
Ranges: all-gas and dual-fuel models in multiple widths, with ignition, oven heating, convection fan and door hinge repairs. Rangetops: burner sections plus charbroiler, griddle and French top modules.
Cooktops: gas models with dual-stacked burners, induction units with power board and cooling fan issues, and electric versions. Wall ovens: E Series and touchscreen M Series with dual convection, plus convection steam ovens that need regular descaling in hard water.
Checks before booking a Wolf visit
If the simmer flame keeps going out, let the burner cool, lift the caps and confirm they sit perfectly level and centered. Dry the burner base if it has been wiped. If igniters click without stopping after cleaning, give them several hours to dry.
On a convection steam oven showing faults, check whether descaling is overdue. For a dual-fuel oven that will not heat while the burners work, look at your breaker panel for a tripped 240-volt breaker. Shut off the gas supply and leave if you smell gas.
Wolf repair versus replacement
Wolf equipment is built to be serviced, and replacing a range or wall oven means matching the cutout, gas line and the look of the kitchen. Igniters, valves, thermostats, fans, elements and control parts are reasonable repairs by comparison, so repair is almost always the right choice.
We confirm parts against the model and serial number and give you lead times at diagnosis, since some Wolf parts are ordered.
