Usually. Steam generators heat a small amount of water, and minerals from hard tap water build up inside them until steam output drops or the control flags a fault. Depending on the model and condition, the generator is descaled or replaced, and the inlet valve and heater are checked at the same visit.
The ice maker sits in the upper left of the fresh-food section, and when its compartment seal or fan is not working properly, ice can melt and refreeze, and water can escape onto the shelves. A blocked drain in that compartment causes it too. We check the seals, fan and drain path before replacing the ice maker.
It could be, but a failed cooling fan is a common contributor. That fan protects the electronics from oven heat, and when it stops, controls can overheat, lock up or show errors. We test the cooling fan, wiring and touch panel separately before recommending a control board.

Safe first steps for Electrolux owners
If a front-load washer stops with water inside, place towels down, open the small access panel at the lower front and drain the pump filter slowly into a shallow pan. Coins, hairpins and socks are common finds. If the door lock will not release, wait a few minutes after draining before trying again.
When dryer cycles end with clothes still damp, wipe the two metal moisture sensor bars inside the drum with rubbing alcohol. For a microwave drawer that stalls, check that nothing is blocking the track before calling.
