How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Electrolux dishwashers
Electrolux dishwashers are built-in models with stainless tubs, many with a wash system that uses a spinning lower spray to reach corners. Problems we commonly see include an inlet valve that lets water trickle in, a drain pump clogged by glass fragments, a heating element or thermostat that leaves dishes wet, and control boards that freeze mid-cycle. Hard water in the valley scales spray nozzles and the heating element. We clean and inspect the filter, test the pump, valve and heater, and give one price before ordering parts.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Electrolux. If this dishwasher is still under its factory warranty, contact Electrolux first.
Where Electrolux dishwashers usually fail
- Inlet valve sticks open and water overfills the tub
- Drain pump clogs with glass shards or food debris
- Spray nozzles scale over and leave dishes dirty
- Heating element fails and dishes come out wet
- Control locks up mid-cycle and the display freezes

Repairing Electrolux dishwashers in the Las Vegas Valley
Electrolux dishwashers are built-in, stainless-tub machines, and many models use the Satellite Clean wash arm, a lower spray arm that rotates on its own axis while sweeping the tub. The idea is broader coverage, especially in corners. It also means a blocked or stiff arm has more moving joints that can bind.
Most of these machines share core parts with Frigidaire's dishwasher line, which helps with sourcing pumps, valves and sensors. The controls are Electrolux-specific, and we test them carefully before deciding a board is at fault, because a sensor or latch problem can produce the same display behavior. A blinking light pattern or code is worth noting before you reset anything.
The Satellite arm and wash performance
When the satellite arm cannot spin freely, food stays in corners and on the back of the lower rack. Seeds, labels and glass chips can lodge in its bearing. Hard water also narrows its jets.
We remove the arm, check its hub and nozzles, and confirm the wash pump is delivering enough pressure before ordering parts.
Fill, drain and heat problems
Electrolux machines rely on a flood switch and float to protect against overfilling. If the inlet valve leaks through, the float trips and the drain pump may start running on its own to protect the floor. That combination is a common call.
Wet dishes usually come down to a heater, its thermostat, or a rinse aid dispenser that is empty or stuck. Plastics often stay wet regardless, which is normal.
Before you book a technician
Clean the filter assembly in the floor of the tub, and check the satellite arm spins when turned by hand. Make sure the rinse aid is filled, and run hot water at the sink before starting a cycle.
If you see water on the floor, stop using the dishwasher and shut off its water supply valve under the sink. Do not lift the unit or work behind the kick plate while power is on.
How we fix it, and when we suggest replacing
We run the test cycle, check water level, test the inlet valve, drain pump, heater and float, and inspect the latch. Repairs are priced as one total for parts and labor before work.
Pumps, valves, heaters and latches are worth fixing. A corroded tub, a failed main board on an older unit, or repeated leaks that have damaged the cabinet floor can change the calculation.

Drying depends on the heating element, the rinse aid and sometimes a vent fan. Check that the rinse aid dispenser is full first. If dishes are wet and the interior feels cool after the cycle, the element or its thermostat may have failed, which we can test with a meter.
Overfilling can lead to leaks under the cabinet and floor damage, so stop using it and turn off the water supply valve under the sink. A sticking inlet valve, often from scale or debris, or a failed float switch is the usual cause. Both are routine replacements.
Remove the lower rack, twist the filter counterclockwise and lift it out. Rinse it under warm water with a soft brush and check the sump below for glass or debris. Reinstall it fully. A monthly cleaning prevents many drainage complaints and improves wash results.
That film is mostly mineral deposit from hard water. It coats glasses, the tub and spray nozzles. Use rinse aid, run a dishwasher descaler monthly and avoid overdosing detergent. If spray arms are blocked or the heater is scaled heavily, we can clean or replace parts.
It is a lower spray arm with a secondary rotating head that sweeps a wider pattern. If its hub wears or cracks, it can wobble or stop rotating. Replacement arms are available for most models, and it is a quick swap. We check for debris in the bearing first, since that is often the actual problem.
Many Electrolux models start the drain pump if the float switch detects water in the base pan. That protects the floor from a leak or overfill. The cause is usually a leaking inlet valve, a cracked hose or a door seal. We find the source of the water rather than just resetting the switch.
Yes, as long as they go in the dispenser and not loose in the tub. Pods can stick if the dispenser is wet when loaded, so load them dry. If pods are left partly dissolved, the water may not be hot enough or the dispenser may not be opening fully during the cycle.
Modern dishwashers run longer cycles with less water and lower temperatures to save energy, and sensor cycles add time if water is cloudy. A very long cycle can also mean the heater is not reaching temperature, so the control extends the cycle. Running hot water at the sink before starting helps.
Yes, if the dishwasher drains through the disposal. Food left in the disposal can block the drain connection, so the dishwasher drains slowly or leaves water in the tub. Running the disposal first clears the path. If a new disposal was just installed, make sure its knockout plug was removed.
