Yes. Viking oven doors are heavy, and hinge springs and pivots wear with years of use. A worn hinge lets the door drop, sit crooked or leak heat at the top. Replacement hinges are matched to the model, and the door is aligned and the gasket checked once they are in.
Most Viking gas ovens use a glow-bar igniter that must draw enough current before the safety valve opens. As the igniter ages, it still glows but opens the valve late or not at all, so the oven is slow to light and slow to preheat. We measure the igniter's current draw to confirm before replacing it.
Occasional reignition on the lowest setting can happen with drafts, but repeated cycling usually points to a misaligned cap, clogged ports, a dirty electrode or a valve that needs adjustment. We clean and inspect the burner, check gas pressure, and set the low flame so it stays lit without help.
Built-in Viking refrigerators, freezer and wine columns and undercounter wine cellars are part of our regular work, and their failures look nothing like the range side. The common causes of warm cabinets are dusty top condensers, failed fans, worn door closers and sensors. We check the grille and airflow first, since that is often the simplest fix.
A Gourmet-Glo broiler should glow evenly across its surface. Patchy glow often comes from a partly blocked burner screen, an igniter problem or low gas pressure. We inspect the burner, test the igniter and confirm pressure. If the ceramic surface is damaged, we will tell you before quoting a replacement.
No. TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company with no affiliation to Viking. If your Viking is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact Viking first, because work by an independent shop may not be covered by that warranty. Once it is out of warranty, or if the warranty route does not work for you, we are glad to take a look.
Servicing Viking in the Las Vegas Valley
Viking, founded in Greenwood, Mississippi and owned by the Middleby Corporation since 2013, helped bring restaurant-style cooking into home kitchens. Its heavy stainless ranges, from 30 to 60 inches wide, are a fixture in custom homes and larger remodels in the neighborhoods we serve, often joined by built-in refrigeration, wine cellars and dishwashers in matching finishes.
Viking appliance repair centers on the things that make these products feel professional: high-output sealed burners with automatic reignition, large convection ovens, infrared broilers and heavy doors. Each feature puts specific stress on specific parts. Knowing where a pro-style range wears lets us test the likely components first and give you a firm price sooner.
Heavy hardware, high heat and what wears
A Viking oven door is heavy, and years of opening it wear the hinges until the door sags, slams or leaks heat around the gasket. Glow-bar igniters on gas ovens weaken until the oven lights slowly. On the burner deck, moisture from cleaning gets into switches and causes the classic nonstop clicking, while a failing spark module can stop several burners at once.
Built-in Viking refrigeration often puts the condenser and compressor up top behind a grille. In a dusty desert climate that grille loads up, and the refrigerator runs warm or constantly. We check airflow there before suspecting the sealed system.
Viking products we handle
Cooking is most of our Viking work: all-gas and dual-fuel ranges, rangetops with griddles or char-grills, gas, electric and induction cooktops, wall ovens with TruConvec convection and the Gourmet-Glo infrared broiler, VariSimmer burners that go out on low, and built-in microwaves and microwave drawers.
Beyond the range, we repair side-by-side, bottom-freezer and column refrigerators and freezers, undercounter wine cellars and full-height wine columns, and dishwashers whose springs struggle under heavy custom panels.
What a Viking owner can check
If burners click after cleaning, turn the knobs off, remove the caps and let everything dry for several hours before trying again. Make sure each cap sits flat and centered. If the clicking continues once dry, a switch or spark module needs attention.
Smell gas near the range? Do not light anything or operate switches. Turn the burner knobs off, ventilate, leave the house and call the gas utility. For a refrigerator running warm, look at the top grille for dust, and keep the area in front of a wine cellar's front grille clear.
Is a Viking worth the repair?
Almost always. A pro-style range or built-in refrigerator is expensive to replace and sized for its cabinet opening, while hinges, igniters, spark modules, fans and sensors are modest repairs by comparison. Some Viking parts are ordered rather than stocked, so we tell you the lead time at diagnosis.
On older units with several worn components, we list them together so you can choose whether to fix only the urgent fault or catch up on maintenance in one visit.
