How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Hobart dishwashers
Hobart commercial dishwashers include the LXe undercounter series, door-type AM series machines, and conveyor and flight-type systems for high-volume kitchens. High-temperature models depend on a booster heater for sanitizing rinse temperature, while low-temperature models depend on chemical sanitizer feed. In valley water, scale builds quickly on heating elements, wash and rinse arms and solenoid valves, so many calls involve heating faults and poor wash results. We also repair wash pumps, drain valves, door switches and fill controls. On a visit we verify wash and rinse temperatures, check chemical dosing, inspect for scale and test pumps and valves before quoting.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Hobart. If this dishwasher is still under its factory warranty, contact Hobart first.

- Final rinse temperature dropping below the required sanitizing level
- Booster heater element covered in scale and slow to recover
- Wash arms clogged with food debris and mineral deposits
- Low-temp sanitizer pump not feeding chemical into the rinse

Repairing Hobart dishwashers in the Las Vegas Valley
A Hobart warewasher is the machine a kitchen notices only when it stops. An LXe undercounter behind a bar, an AM-series door-type machine in a restaurant dish pit, or a conveyor running through a banquet kitchen all have the same job: clean, sanitize and turn racks fast enough to keep the line moving. When one slows down or misses temperature, plates and glasses back up within minutes.
Most service calls fall into a handful of patterns. Rinse water that does not get hot enough, fills that run long or never stop, wash results that slip, and chemical sanitizer that is not feeding on low-temp machines. In valley water, scale sits behind many of them, building on heaters, rinse arms and solenoid valves faster than many operators expect.
High-temp and low-temp machines
High-temperature Hobart machines sanitize with a hot final rinse, typically supplied by a booster heater that raises incoming hot water to the temperature on the machine's data plate. If the booster element scales, fails or cannot recover between racks, rinse temperature falls and the machine stops sanitizing properly.
Low-temperature machines rely on a chemical sanitizer injected into the rinse. Those calls usually involve the sanitizer pump, its tubing or the chemical supply rather than heat. We confirm which type you run before testing, because the fixes are completely different.
Undercounter, door-type and conveyor
LXe undercounter units are compact and often installed under a bar or prep counter, with the booster built in on high-temp models. AM-series door-type machines handle full racks with a lift-up hood and are the workhorse of many restaurant dish rooms. Conveyor and flight-type machines move racks or ware continuously through wash, rinse and sometimes drying zones.
Each layout adds its own parts: door switches on undercounters, hood switches and lift springs on door-type machines, drive motors, curtains and zone heaters on conveyors. We bring parts matched to the type and model.
Hard water and the dish machine
Scale coats booster and tank heating elements, slowing recovery and eventually burning them out. It narrows rinse arm nozzles so final rinse coverage drops, and it builds in fill and rinse solenoids so they stick open or closed. Many kitchens see wash results decline gradually as scale accumulates.
Regular deliming, with the product and schedule your chemical supplier recommends, and appropriate water treatment slow that process. During a repair visit we point out where scale is affecting performance so you can plan maintenance.
What staff can check first
Confirm that the machine's water supply valves and power are on, and that the wash tank is filled to the correct level. Check that scrap screens and strainer baskets are clean and seated, and that rinse and wash arms turn freely. On low-temp machines, confirm the chemical containers are not empty and the pickup tubes are submerged.
Turn power off at the disconnect before reaching into the tank or under the machine, and allow hot water to cool. Do not bypass door or hood switches to keep a machine running.
Repair decisions for a commercial operator
Booster elements, thermostats, solenoids, pumps, switches and rinse arms are routine repairs, and most Hobart machines are built to be serviced many times over a long life. Replacing a machine involves plumbing, electrical and sometimes ventilation changes. We give you a clear diagnosis and price, and tell you if repeated failures point to water treatment or an aging unit.

High-temp machines rely on a booster heater to reach sanitizing rinse temperature. Scale on the heating element, a failing element or thermostat, low incoming water temperature, or heavy back-to-back use can all keep it from reaching temperature. Check the gauge or display reading. A technician should test the booster and incoming water supply.
Scale coats booster heater elements, wash and rinse arms, and fill valves, reducing heating efficiency and spray coverage. Many operators delime on a regular schedule using an approved product. A water treatment system can reduce scale. If results drop or heating slows, inspecting for scale is a good first step.
Confirm the door is fully closed and the door switch engages. Check that the tank is filled and that the machine has reached wash temperature, since some models will not run until heated. Make sure the power switch and breaker are on. If it still will not start, the door switch or control needs testing.
Low-temp machines depend on a chemical sanitizer pumped into the final rinse. An empty chemical container, a clogged pickup tube or a failed pump will cause poor sanitizing. Check the containers and lines first. If the pump is not feeding, it needs repair, and sanitizer concentration should be tested afterward.
The model and serial number from the data plate, whether the machine is high-temp or low-temp, what the gauges or display show, and how long the problem has been happening. Note whether it affects every cycle or only busy periods. That helps us bring likely parts and plan the visit around your service hours.
Wash tank water picks up food soil and detergent with every rack, and heavily soiled water washes poorly and lets debris reach the pump and arms. Many kitchens drain and refill at set intervals during long services, following the manual and their chemical supplier's guidance. A fresh tank also makes it easier to see whether a heating problem is real.
It depends on water hardness and volume. Kitchens in hard water areas often delime on a regular schedule set with their chemical supplier, and some machines show a reminder. Visible white deposits on the tank, heaters or arms are a sign deliming is overdue. Follow the manual and supplier guidance.
We can, but repairs often require the machine to be off, drained and cooled, which interrupts dishwashing. Many operators prefer early morning or between services. Let us know your hours and we will plan the visit to limit disruption, and keep you informed if parts need ordering.
If rinse temperature or sanitizer concentration does not meet requirements, the kitchen may need to use an alternative sanitizing method until the machine is repaired. We prioritize diagnosing the heating or chemical system so the machine can return to proper operation as quickly as practical.
