How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Wolf stoves
When owners call about a Wolf stove, they often mean a Wolf rangetop or the burner section of a range, which may include an infrared charbroiler, a griddle or a French top. Each section has its own failure points. Burners typically bring ignition and simmer problems. Infrared charbroilers can stop lighting or glow unevenly, griddles may heat unevenly when a thermostat or burner fails, and French tops can take too long to reach temperature. We test each section independently, confirm the gas supply and electrical connection for ignition, and quote one price for the repair needed.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Wolf. If this stove is still under its factory warranty, contact Wolf first.

Repairing Wolf stoves in the Las Vegas Valley
When people call about a Wolf stove, they usually mean a rangetop built into the counter or the top half of a Wolf range. Many of these tops are more than a row of burners. An infrared charbroiler, a thermostatic griddle or a French top may sit beside the dual-stacked burners, and each has its own fuel path, ignition and controls.
That means a complaint like "the stove is not heating right" could involve any of several systems. We test each section on its own, confirm gas pressure and the electrical supply for ignition, and only then decide where the fault lies. You get one price covering the section that actually failed.
Dual-stacked burners on a Wolf rangetop
Each burner runs an upper tier for high heat and a protected lower tier for low simmer. Spills that bake into the lower ports, caps that sit off-center and moisture after cleaning account for most simmer and clicking complaints.
We clean and align the burner first, then test the electrode, the switch and the valve if the flame is still unstable.
Infrared charbroilers
A Wolf charbroiler heats a ceramic infrared burner until it glows, and the grates above it sear food. If the burner will not light, the igniter, flame sensing or gas valve may be at fault. If it lights but glows in patches, the ceramic may be clogged with grease or cracked.
Charbroilers get dirty fast. We clean the grease path, test ignition and inspect the ceramic before recommending parts.
Griddles and French tops
Wolf griddles use a thermostat to hold a set surface temperature. A griddle that runs too hot, too cold or unevenly can have a failing thermostat, burner or igniter. Grease buildup under the plate can also change how heat spreads.
A French top is designed to be hottest in the center and cooler toward the edges, so some unevenness is normal. If it takes much longer than usual to reach heat or never gets hot in the center, the burner or valve needs testing.
What owners can check and what to leave
Clean grease troughs, dry burners after spills and reseat caps. Make sure all knobs are fully off and the hood is working. Check that the rangetop has power for ignition.
Do not adjust gas valves, thermostats or orifices. If you smell gas, turn off the supply and call. Keep flammable items away from the charbroiler and griddle.
Repair value
Wolf rangetops and range tops are expensive and integrated into the kitchen design. Burner parts, igniters, thermostats, valves and ceramic charbroiler burners are usually worth repairing. We use manufacturer-specified parts and let you know if a part needs ordering.

The charbroiler uses an igniter and a gas burner beneath a ceramic surface. If it does not light, the igniter may have failed, the gas supply may be restricted or debris may block the burner. Grease buildup is common. Clean the charbroiler as recommended. If it still will not light, we test ignition and gas flow.
Uneven heat can come from a partially clogged burner, a failing thermostat or an igniter that does not light the full burner. Clean the griddle area and observe whether the flame burns evenly. If it does not, the burner, thermostat or ignition system needs testing.
A French top is a solid plate heated by a burner underneath, and it naturally takes longer to heat than an open burner. However, if it takes much longer than usual or never gets hot in the center, the burner may be partially clogged or the gas supply may be low. We inspect the burner and supply.
Signs include burners that will not light, continuous clicking, flames that are yellow or uneven, a charbroiler or griddle that does not heat properly or a gas smell. If you smell gas, turn off the supply and leave. For other symptoms, we diagnose each section and give one price before any work starts.
Scrape and wipe the griddle after each use while it is warm, and empty the grease trough before it fills. Season it as the manual directs, especially when new or after a deep clean. Built-up grease affects heat spread and smokes heavily. If the griddle still heats unevenly after cleaning, the thermostat or burner should be tested.
Yes, it is designed for indoor use under a properly sized hood. It produces a lot of smoke and grease vapor, so run the hood on high and keep the grease tray clean. If the charbroiler produces flare-ups, yellow flames or a gas smell, stop using it and book an inspection.
Heavy smoke is usually grease buildup or seasoning residue burning off. Clean the surface and grease trough. If smoking continues at moderate settings, the griddle may be running hotter than its setting because of a thermostat problem. That is worth testing, since overheating can damage the plate and nearby parts.
Yes. A French top is designed with a hot center and cooler edges, so cooks can move pans to adjust heat. Uneven heat across the whole surface or a center that never gets hot is not normal. That can point to a burner, valve or ignition issue.
Size it for the rangetop's total output and width, and for any charbroiler or griddle, which add heavy smoke and grease. The installation guide for your model gives ventilation recommendations, and a hood that is too small lets heat and grease collect around the knobs and controls. Weak ventilation is a common reason for discolored trim and sticky knobs.
