How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Samsung stoves
Most Samsung stoves we see are freestanding and slide-in models with either gas burners or a smooth glass top over radiant elements. On gas stoves, a top burner that will not light usually comes down to a wet or dirty spark electrode, a misaligned cap or a failed spark module. On electric glass tops, an element that stays on high or will not heat points to its switch or the element itself. Some front-control Samsung electric ranges have been recalled over knobs that could be bumped on, so we check for that too. A stove visit covers the surface burners, controls and gas connections.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Samsung. If this stove is still under its factory warranty, contact Samsung first.

Repairing Samsung stoves in the Las Vegas Valley
When people say their Samsung stove is acting up, they usually mean the top: a burner that will not light, a glass element that stays red, or a knob that feels loose. We treat the stovetop as its own system with its own parts, separate from the oven cavity below.
Samsung stoves often pair a five-burner gas top with a center oval burner, or a glass top with a bridge element that links two zones. Those layouts change which parts we test first, so we start by asking which burners or zones are affected, whether the problem started after cleaning or a spill, and whether the oven below still works normally.
Five burners, one spark module
On Samsung gas stoves, every igniter fires when any knob is turned to light. If all of them click nonstop, a switch on one valve is often stuck closed, frequently from a spill that ran down the knob stem. If only one burner fails to light while the others spark, that burner's electrode, wire or cap alignment is the likely cause.
The center oval burner, used for a griddle, has its own valve and igniter. It is less used, so its ports can clog with dust and grease before you notice.
Bridge elements and dual zones on glass tops
Electric Samsung stoves often have a dual element with an inner and outer ring, and a bridge element that joins two zones for a griddle. Each ring has its own contact on the switch. If the outer ring stays off while the inner one heats, the switch or the ring connection is usually the cause rather than the full element.
Knobs, recalls and safe owner checks
Samsung has recalled certain electric ranges with front-mounted knobs over the risk of a burner being switched on by an accidental bump. Check your model number on Samsung's recall page; if yours is included, the fix is a knob lock or cover from Samsung at no cost to you.
Safe checks: dry and reseat burner caps after cleaning, make sure the glass is clean around the element, and confirm the breaker is fully on. If you smell gas, turn off the burners, do not use electrical switches, leave the house and call the gas utility.
What a stove visit includes
We test igniters and the spark module, check the gas supply pressure where needed and inspect valves for leaks. On glass tops we measure the element and switch with a meter. We also confirm the anti-tip bracket is engaged, because stoves are often moved during flooring work in valley homes and the bracket is easily missed when they are pushed back.
Most stovetop parts are affordable and stocked, which makes repair the clear choice on all but the oldest units.

If the others light, start with that burner. Remove the cap and burner head, clean the ports with a soft brush, dry everything and reseat the cap so it sits flat, because spills often soak the spark electrode. If the burner sparks but still will not light with a clean, dry head, the gas port or valve may be the issue and should be checked by a technician.
Some front-control electric Samsung ranges have been recalled because the knobs could be turned on accidentally by people or pets brushing against them. The remedy was knob locks or covers supplied by the manufacturer. You can check your model number on Samsung's or the CPSC's recall pages. If you are unsure, we can look at the model plate during a visit.
We do not recommend it. Reaching the radiant element means lifting the glass top and working around high-voltage connections, and an element that stays on high is often a switch fault rather than an element fault. Turn off power at the breaker and schedule a diagnosis. We confirm which part failed before ordering anything.
Turn off all burners, do not touch electrical switches, open windows and leave the house, then call the gas company from outside. A faint odor right as a burner lights can be normal, but a smell that lingers is not. Once the gas company has cleared it, we can check the burner valves, connections and regulator.
A stuck spark switch on one of the valves is the usual cause, often after water or a spill reached the knob area. Let the cooktop dry completely for a day with the power off. If it still clicks, the switch or the spark module needs replacement.
Probably not. The hot surface indicator stays lit until the glass cools below a safe temperature, which can take a while after high-heat cooking. If it stays on for hours or lights when the stove has not been used, the sensor or control may be faulty.
No. Cracked glass ceramic cannot be patched safely. The whole top needs replacement, and the stove should not be used until it is replaced, because spills can reach the wiring through the crack. We check part availability and price before recommending it.
A flame that lifts and roars usually has too much air or gas pressure for the burner, which can happen if the stove was converted for propane incorrectly or the regulator is off. Turn it off and have it checked. A steady blue flame that hugs the burner is the target.
Samsung recommends washing burner caps and heads by hand. Dishwasher detergent can discolor them and leave residue in the ports. Dry them completely, including the small ports around the edge, before reinstalling, because moisture is one of the most common reasons a burner sparks without lighting.
