ASKO washers heat water inside the tub with an element. In hard water, scale builds on that element until it fails or heats poorly. A failed temperature sensor or relay can cause the same symptom. We test the element, sensor and control, and descaling advice is part of the visit.
That is the leak protection at work. A float in the base pan has detected water and the dishwasher is draining to prevent a flood. Common sources are door seals, hoses, the pump or excess foam. The visit traces the leak to its source, repairs it, dries the pan and checks that the float drops back to its normal position.
If the dryer is plumbed to a drain, a kinked or clogged drain hose or a failing condensate pump can still trigger the warning. Lint in the pump or sensor area causes it too. We check the hose, pump and sensor and clean the condenser while we are there.
Correct setup, in most cases. Compact washers spin fast, so leveling, the stacking kit, shock absorbers and bearings all affect vibration. Shipping bolts left in place cause it on new installs. We level the stack, check the kit and suspension, and test bearings for wear.
Yes. Heat pump dryers recycle heat through a sealed system and take longer than vented dryers by design. Lint on the heat exchanger, a full condensate container or a failing fan is a common cause of slow drying. We clean and test those components before considering the heat pump itself.

The 24-inch laundry is designed to stack in a closet or slide under a counter, which makes it a natural fit for condos, high-rise units and smaller homes around the valley.

European engineering meets hard water
An ASKO washer's internal heating element sits in the tub's water, so minerals from valley tap water coat it over time. Wash water may stay cold even though the cycle runs. The dishwasher's heater and spray arms collect scale the same way, which reduces cleaning and drying performance.
Leak protection on ASKO dishwashers uses a float switch in the base pan. When water collects there, the machine stops filling and runs the drain pump. A small leak from a door seal, hose or pump, or foam from the wrong detergent, can trip it.

Owner checks on ASKO machines
On the washer, the drain filter is at the lower front behind a small cover. Place a towel and shallow pan underneath, open it slowly and clear lint and small items. On a condenser or heat pump dryer, clean every lint filter after each load and check the condenser area as the manual describes.
If the dishwasher halts while its drain pump keeps humming, switch the circuit off and leave it off rather than restarting it again and again. Check the detergent you are using, since regular dish soap causes heavy foam that can trip leak protection.
