FAQ

Range Repair Questions

Straight answers to what people ask before booking. If your question isn't here, send it with your booking request and we'll answer it.

Still have questions?

We cover 15 ZIP codes in Enterprise, Spring Valley, Paradise and southern Henderson.

That is normal on many ranges: one spark module fires all electrodes at once. Clicking should stop when the burner lights. If it continues after ignition or happens without a burner on, moisture, a dirty electrode or a failed switch is a likely cause.

Yes. We service Bertazzoni, Smeg, La Cornue, AGA and other imported ranges as well as American pro-style lines. Parts for imported models can take longer to arrive, so we confirm availability and timing along with the quote. Work starts only after you approve the price, and we can often make the range partly usable while a part is on order.

Rarely. Double-oven ranges give each cavity its own bake element or burner, its own sensor and usually its own relay on the control board. If the upper oven still heats normally, the failure is most likely confined to the lower cavity's parts or its relay. We test those first, so the quote covers only what has actually failed.

The burners run on gas and the oven on 240-volt electricity, so check the range's breaker first. If both legs of power are present, the bake element, sensor, control or a relay may have failed. A technician tests each before naming the part.

We lay down floor protection, check the anti-tip bracket and how far the cooktop lip overhangs the counter, and ease the range out slowly on its leveling legs. Some slide-ins can be serviced with the range only partly out, while others need full removal. We talk it through with you before starting, and we reset the bracket afterward.

No. We are an independent repair company and are not factory-authorized by any manufacturer. If your range is still under the manufacturer's warranty, contact the manufacturer first, since work by an independent shop may not be covered. Out-of-warranty ranges get manufacturer-specified parts by default and a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty on the repair.

Range repair in the Las Vegas Valley

This page covers ranges built for a finished kitchen: slide-in models that sit flush with the counter, dual-fuel ranges that pair gas burners with an electric oven, and pro-style ranges with heavy grates, high-output burners and sometimes double ovens. They are more complex than a basic freestanding stove and take a different approach.

Range repair on these models often involves sealed burners, spark modules, reignition systems, convection fans and electronic controls. Many valley homes in master-planned communities came with slide-ins, while custom kitchens in newer neighborhoods often have pro-style ranges with heavy cast grates and high-output burners. Those ranges are heavy and fitted tightly, so how the unit is moved matters as much as the part.

Telltale signs from a high-end range

Common reports are a burner that will not ignite or reignite, all burners clicking at once, a convection fan that is noisy or stopped, one oven in a double-oven range that will not heat, or a control panel that shows an error code. Pro-style owners also mention low flames on high-output burners.

Frequent range failures

Sealed burners fail at igniters, electrodes and spark modules. Dual-fuel ranges need gas service on top and 240-volt service below, so bake elements, convection elements and sensors fail too. Pro-style ranges have reignition systems and simmer valves that wear, and slide-ins have touch controls and fans that work hard.

Heavy pro-style grates and griddles also hide spills that drain into the burner box, where grease and moisture foul electrodes. Many reignition complaints on these ranges clear up once the burner box, caps and electrodes are cleaned and dried, which is why we inspect before ordering parts.

Range makers we cover

We service pro-style and dual-fuel ranges from Wolf, Thermador, Viking, Bertazzoni, Thor Kitchen, DCS, La Cornue, AGA and Fisher & Paykel, and slide-ins from GE, Samsung, LG, KitchenAid, JennAir, Bosch, Miele and Smeg. Commercial Vulcan ranges are on the list.

How we diagnose a range

The technician checks gas pressure and spark power, then 240-volt supply for dual-fuel models. Burners, igniters, valves, elements, sensors and controls are tested in order. Slide-ins may need to be eased out of the cabinet, which we do with care for counters and floors.

One price for parts and labor is approved before any repair, and gas connections are leak-checked after.

Why kitchen owners pick TrueFix for ranges

We use manufacturer-specified parts by default, which matters on premium ranges. Calls are answered around the clock without a surcharge for after-hours booking, and same-day appointments are available when the route has room. Every repair has a 90-day parts and 30-day labor warranty.
