Dacor Range
Dacor Range Repair in Las Vegas
A Dacor range is two systems in one heavy chassis: a powerful burner top and a precise convection oven. We test both, plus the supply and controls, before quoting a repair.

How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Dacor ranges
Dacor ranges include pro-style gas and dual-fuel models in multiple widths, often with large convection ovens, griddles and, on some models, steam-assisted baking. Range repairs cover the burners and the oven together. On dual-fuel models, the electric oven side commonly needs bake or convection element or fan service, sensor replacement or control board work, while the gas top needs igniter and burner service. Door hinges on heavy oven doors also wear. We test both halves, check power and gas supply and anti-tip mounting, and quote the full repair before starting.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Dacor. If this range is still under its factory warranty, contact Dacor first.
Where Dacor ranges usually fail
- Dual-fuel oven element fails while gas burners work
- Convection fan bearing squeals during long bakes
- Heavy oven door hinge wears and the door drops
- Griddle burner heats unevenly across the plate
- Oven control board fault stops all oven functions

Repairing Dacor ranges in the Las Vegas Valley
Dacor ranges come in 30-, 36- and 48-inch widths, mostly pro-style gas and dual-fuel models, with induction options in some lines. Wider models add a griddle or a second oven, and newer dual-fuel units may include steam-assisted baking and connected controls. Earlier ranges from the Renaissance, Distinctive and Epicure era still cook in plenty of valley kitchens.
A range repair here means looking at the entire unit. A dual-fuel model needs both a gas supply and a 240-volt circuit, and a fault in one can look like a fault in the other. We check the supply, the oven, the burner top and the controls together so the quote reflects everything that is wrong, not just the first symptom we find.
Dual fuel means two supplies to check
On a dual-fuel Dacor, the burners run on gas and the oven heats electrically. Spark ignition, the oven lights, the convection fan and the control all depend on household power. If one leg of a 240-volt circuit is lost, the burner sparks may work while the oven stays cold, or the reverse.
Before replacing oven elements, we measure voltage at the terminal block and confirm that both breakers are delivering power. That step prevents an expensive misdiagnosis.
Wide ranges, second ovens and griddles
On 48-inch models, the second oven usually has its own elements, sensor and sometimes its own control logic. When only one oven fails, we compare the two, which makes it easier to isolate the fault.
Griddles and grills have their own burners and thermostats. A griddle that will not heat is diagnosed separately from the main burners, even though they share a gas supply. Grease that finds its way into the griddle burner box is a frequent culprit on ranges used for breakfast service at home.
Checks before booking
Confirm both breakers are fully on and the gas valve behind the range is open. Note which parts work and which do not: burners, ignition, each oven, the light and the display. Write down any codes.
Do not pull a pro-style range out yourself. These units are very heavy, the gas line can be damaged, and an anti-tip bracket must be reinstalled correctly.
Moving and servicing a heavy range
Many repairs are done from the front or by removing panels without moving the range. When the range must come forward, we protect the floor and countertop edges, disconnect the gas and power safely, and recheck the connection for leaks afterward.
Dacor ranges are expensive to replace and often matched to a hood and backsplash. Repairs to igniters, valves, elements, fans, sensors and controls usually make sense, and we quote the full job before starting.

On dual-fuel models the oven is electric and has its own elements, sensors and control. A failed bake element, convection element, sensor or relay is a common cause. Check the breaker, since the oven needs 240-volt power even though the burners are gas. We test each part to find the fault.
Griddles concentrate heat over the burner, and some unevenness is normal. If one area stays cold, a clogged burner, misaligned plate or low gas supply may be the cause. We inspect the griddle burner and adjust or clean it so heat spreads properly.
Yes. Heavy pro-style doors wear hinges over time, and a sagging door loses heat through the gasket. Hinges are usually replaceable. Do not hang towels or lean on the open door. We replace hinges and check the gasket while we are there.
In most cases, yes. Dacor ranges cost a lot to replace and are often fitted to a specific cabinet opening and hood. Elements, igniters, sensors and hinges are standard repairs. If a major control board is needed on an older model, we check availability and quote so you can decide.
Most Dacor ranges have a cooling fan that keeps running until the oven and controls cool down. That is normal and protects the electronics. If the fan runs for hours after a cold oven, or never shuts off, a sensor, relay or control may be stuck.
Large dual-fuel ranges usually need a dedicated 240-volt circuit sized for the oven load, along with a gas line sized for the burners. Requirements vary by model, so check the installation guide. If the range trips breakers or heats weakly, the supply should be checked before replacing parts.
Follow the manual for your model. Valley tap water is hard and leaves scale in the steam path, so filtered or softened water may be recommended. If steam output drops, the oven takes longer to finish a steam bake, or a descaling message appears frequently, mineral buildup is the likely cause and descaling comes before any parts.
Yes. Most ranges have adjustable leveling legs. A level range helps oven doors close properly and keeps pans steady. Leveling may require pulling the range forward, so it is often done during service along with checking the anti-tip bracket. Tile floors that slope toward a drain are a common reason a range rocks.
A weak element, a failing convection fan or a sensor that reads incorrectly can slow preheating. On a dual-fuel model, low voltage can also affect heat output. We test each component and check the supply voltage before recommending a repair.
