How a Repair Visit Works
What to know about Frigidaire ranges
Frigidaire ranges include freestanding gas and electric models, slide-in Gallery ranges and some induction ranges with convection and Air Fry modes. A range repair covers the cooktop and the oven together, plus the electronics that tie them. The most common calls are oven ignition or bake element failures, control panels that freeze or show codes, convection fans that stop, and induction zones that will not recognize a pan. We test the oven and the cooktop, check power or gas supply and anti-tip mounting, and quote the repair with all needed parts named.
TrueFix Las Vegas is an independent repair company, not affiliated with Frigidaire. If this range is still under its factory warranty, contact Frigidaire first.

Repairing Frigidaire ranges in the Las Vegas Valley
Frigidaire builds ranges in gas, electric and induction versions, as freestanding and slide-in models, with Gallery and Professional trims that add convection, Air Fry and stronger burners. A range repair covers the cooktop, the oven and the electronics that link them, so we approach it differently from a standalone cooktop or wall oven.
That combined view matters because one fault can affect both halves. A failing control can disable the oven and the cooktop timer, while a burned terminal at the power block can make the whole range act strangely. We check the entire unit, including the anti-tip bracket and the supply connection, before quoting.
Freestanding, slide-in and induction ranges
Freestanding ranges have finished sides and a back panel with controls. Slide-in Gallery ranges put controls up front and fit flush with the counter, which can make them harder to pull out without scratching the counter edges.
Induction ranges pair an induction cooktop with a conventional electric oven. The induction side relies on power boards and a cooling fan, so heat in the kitchen, a dusty fan or a voltage problem can affect it.
When the oven and cooktop disagree
If the burners work but the oven does not, the problem is usually inside the oven: igniter, element, sensor or the oven relay. If neither side works, we check the supply, the terminal block and the control board.
On dual-control ranges, the cooktop may still work on manual knobs while the oven controls are frozen. Cutting power for a minute sometimes resets a control, but a recurring freeze means a component needs replacing.
Safe checks before booking
Check both breakers for an electric range and the gas shutoff for gas and dual-fuel units. Make sure the oven is not in lock mode. If the range shows an error, write it down along with what you were doing when it appeared.
Do not pull a range out without disconnecting power or gas. If you see scorch marks at the back or smell burning plastic, turn the breaker off and leave it off.
Repairing a Frigidaire range
Elements, igniters, sensors, switches and fans are routine repairs. Control boards cost more, but on Gallery and Professional ranges they are usually worth replacing.
Replacement becomes more attractive when a basic range has both an oven failure and a damaged cooktop surface. We compare the costs so the decision is clear.

Still have questions?
We cover 15 ZIP codes in Enterprise, Spring Valley, Paradise and southern Henderson.
Switch the breaker off, wait about a minute, then switch it back on. A brief power glitch can freeze the controls, and a reset may clear it. If the code returns, write it down and note when it appears. It usually points to a sensor, door lock or control circuit we can test.
Induction needs magnetic cookware that covers most of the zone. Small or warped pans may not be detected. Check with a magnet and try a larger flat pan. If a known good pan is not detected on one zone but works on others, that zone's coil or power board is likely faulty.
A burning plastic or electrical smell from the back can mean a loose or burned power cord connection at the terminal block. That connection carries heavy current. Turn the breaker off and do not use the range until it is inspected. We replace the damaged terminal or cord and check the outlet.
It depends on board availability and the range's age and condition. A newer slide-in range is usually worth a board replacement, while an older basic range may not be. We check the board cost and lead time during the visit and give you a full quote to compare against a new range.
Slide-in ranges sit close to counter edges and often have an anti-tip bracket at the back. Lifting the front slightly and pulling straight out helps avoid scratches, but the range is heavy and the gas or power connection is short. We disconnect the supply, protect the counter edges and the floor, and reinstall the bracket afterward so the range cannot tip.
An induction range draws heavily when several zones run at high power. Tripping during normal use should not happen on a correctly sized circuit. If it does, the breaker, the terminal block or an internal component may be faulty. We check the supply voltage and the range together, because swapping a board will not help if the circuit is the problem.
On an electric range, a lost leg of power from a tripped breaker or burned terminal can leave the clock working but the elements dead. On gas ranges, a closed gas supply or a failed igniter is common, since the clock runs on household power either way. We test the supply first, then the heating parts, so the repair addresses the real cause.
Professional ranges use some parts unique to that line, such as burners and trim. Many electrical and oven components are shared with other Frigidaire models, which helps with availability. We check parts for your specific model number before the visit when you can provide it, so the repair moves faster.
The model number, whether it is gas, electric, dual fuel or induction, and which part is not working. Note any error codes, noises or smells and when they started. If the range is a slide-in fitted tightly between cabinets, mention that too. All of this helps us bring the right parts and plan the visit.
